Free summer concerts in Thornton-le-dale, North Yorkshire

The concerts

All of the free Music on the green concerts are held on the village green in Thornton-le-dale, North Yorkshire. They are held every Sunday from 24th June to 9th September 2007. The bands play from 2:00pm to 4:45pm.

Music on the green is now in it's fifth year. This year there are 12 bands over 12 weeks. Of course, all of the concerts are free and you don't need tickets. Just turn up and enjoy the music.

The village

Thornton-le-dale is a historic market village with a traditional market cross and stocks on the village green popular with walkers and tourists. A stream runs through the village and you can admire a much-photographed thatched cottage – one of very few remaining in this part of North Yorkshire.

Thornton-le-dale is easy to find and there is plenty of free parking. There is lots of shops, attractions and facilities in this pretty village making it a great place to spend some time.
